Unlike many visiting photographers who run workshops in the lakes, I’ve lived here my entire life and know its landscape intimately. There’s no substitute for vast local knowledge.
My workshops are run year-round though I’m usually extremely busy during the autumn period given the understandable demand to photograph the Lake District through the autumn colours, I can also accommodate bespoke private group workshops of up to 5 people over multiple days where accommodation and planning is organised for you. Great images, not technical waffle.
My ethos is built around helping you learn how to take great images, and removing some of the barriers that prevent this. The most common issues I encounter with clients is when the ‘the technical’ becomes a barrier to their enjoyment of photography. I firmly believe that whilst a sound understanding of the technical aspects is important, learning how to compose an image is even more so. If you feel like the technical aspects of photography are too daunting and are preventing you from developing your vision, or if you’d like to learn how to compose great landscape photos in a image-focused friendly environment, then you’re in the right place.

In the field + Studio Post-Processing Masterclass

These full day workshops are split between shooting and processing - these will be 5 hours shooting + 3 hours hands on processing tuition at my studio (or you can decide the split of hours).
The shooting on these sessions will be based either at Wasdale and Eskdale, followed by 3 hours of post-processing/ image critique / image preparation for print at my home in Seascale, or in the Keswick area followed with processing at the my gallery.
Here I show you how to get the best from your images that you’ve captured on the workshop and go through the printing process on my Canon Pro 2100. All participants receive a free A2 size print of their work from the day. To book please select the ‘full day shoot/process’ at order.

The world of post-processing can be a labyrinth for beginners and those starting out in landscape photography. With programmes such as Lightroom and Photoshop becoming ever more powerful, the possibilities for photographers to create powerful visuals are almost limitless.
I’m here to simplify this by offering post-processing sessions on an hourly basis, from the comfort of your own desk via Zoom, or from my home studio, to help simplify and streamline your post-processing technique.
