Are you ready to experience the stunning landscapes of the Lake District? Designed for all levels of expertise, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to sharpen your photography skills while capturing the beauty of this picturesque region.
Explore the best of the Lake District
The Lake District is a photographer's paradise, boasting awe-inspiring landscapes at every turn. From the tranquil shores of Derwentwater to the rugged peaks of Scafell Pike, during each day we will take you to some of the most picturesque locations the Lake District has to offer.
Perfect for all skill levels
The Lake District is the base for my photography, and where I’ve lived all my life - very few landscape photographers know its landscape as intimately as I do. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer, my workshops cater to all skill levels. My relaxed and encouraging approach will help you build a strong foundation, regardless of your previous experience. During the workshops, you will receive personalised instruction on composition, exposure, lighting, and much more. You will also have the opportunity to learn invaluable post-processing techniques on your images to bring out their full potential.
Hands on tuition from two multi-award winning photographers
To ensure an intimate learning environment and personalised attention, this workshop is limited to a small group of participants (7 max) across two tutors. This allows us both to provide in-depth guidance and one-on-one support to each attendee. You will have ample opportunities to ask questions, receive feedback, and learn from our approach and experience.
Getting you to the best locations
As a local I have a vast knowledge of the area having lived here all my life, and will always get you to the best locations for any given weather scenario. Inclement weather in the Lake District is common, so it’s important to be with a workshop leader who has a wide variety of shooting options available irrespective of conditions - I always plan workshops flexibly based on this ethos to ensure you’re in the most suitable location for the prevailing conditions.
Superb accommodation ideally located
This workshop will be based on the western tip of the lakes, an area I’ve photographed for many years with living only a stones throw away from some of the most spectacular views in the hole of the Lake District.
This workshop will give participants the opportunity to visit some of the quieter corners of the Lake District, whilst also visiting some of the hotspots too!
Our base will be the Old School House at Muncaster on the western edge of the Lake District, close to Wasdale and Eskdale. Accommodation will be provided on a half-board basis (home cooked evening meals, bar meals not included), with all workshop places provided single occupancy rooms.
The house is huge with 10 bedrooms, ample room for guests to relax at the end of each day’s photography, where we can discuss our images and work on post-processing and image critique or just simply unwind.
