I took over the gallery in May 2018, leaving behind the security and comfort of a well-paid job in the nuclear industry at Sellafield to follow my dreams of a more care-free (if less secure) lifestyle. Initially a few (and probably myself!) questioned my sanity in doing this but 4 years on, I can safely say it’s been on of the best decisions I’ve made in my life, allowing me to spend much more time with my fiancé and young son. The work/life balance I’m now afforded is excellent, and allows me to pursue my landscape photography to the fullest.

The gallery stocks mainly my own work though from time to time I have guest contributors who I feel can bring a little variety to the work on show. My aim is to give a faithful representation of the Lake District, worts and all, rather than necessarily a romanticised version of it seen in many other galleries. The gallery continues to go from strength to strength, and has established a firm following whilst attracting many new visitors each year.
